Overview
In Summer 2021, I completed a remote internship with Georgia Tech's Office of Information Technology (OIT).  It involved migrating multiple GT websites from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 one web page at a time, while making adjustments of varying degrees to several pages based on user feedback and the student employees' own mockup designs.
I worked on several websites in multiple different groups.  The sites I helped migrate were Housing, Student Center, Campus Recreation Center (CRC), and Human Resources (HR).  I was also assigned the Conference website, but that was put on hiatus due to unforeseen circumstances.
Overall Process
Each website had its own issues and individual tasks I was assigned, but the general process over the whole summer went like this:
1) Complete the training process to learn the basics of Drupal 7 and 8, Google Analytics, and WebClock
2) Take inventory of the pages on each website and set up a biweekly sprint schedule
3) Assign different pages to different students to redesign and migrate once ready
4) Conduct usability testing sessions on the currently deployed sites with end users to gauge major pain points
5) Make mockups of page redesigns on appropriate programs (e.g. Figma) and get feedback from the other student employees
6) Migrate assigned pages to Drupal 8, as well as any nested links within those pages

Home Page, Start Your Application, Find a Roommate, Applicant FAQs, Move-in Tips & FAQs
Website 3: Student Center

No pages were migrated to Drupal 8 because my team was not granted access to the Drupal 8 instance, unlike the other sites.  It was not just a simple lift-and-shift like the other websites we were assigned.  So instead, I conducted usability testing sessions on the currently deployed site and made sitemaps for the client to analyze.
